Description
Simply connect the airstone to your reservoir’s oxygen pump with the proper tubing, and the compressed silicate aerator will diffuse the air within the nutrient solution.
Proper aeration will bring oxygen to the submerged roots, allowing them to “breathe” underwater. The replenished oxygen helps to keep your roots healthy, promotes nutrient uptake, and increases the lifespan of your nutrient solution. As the tiny bubbles created by the air stones float to the top, the oxygen bubbles transport toxins from the nutrient solution to the surface for dissipation.
For a 10-gallon reservoir, we recommend the 6″ Alfred airstone. For a 20-gallon reservoir, the 12″ Alfred airstone is ideal. All Alfred Horticulture airstones fit standard 1/4″ tubing and lay flat on the bottom of your reservoir to prevent plant root tangling.
